Anthony Benscher brings more than 30 years of experience across government, public affairs, stakeholder engagement and strategic communications, with a career spanning senior advisory, executive and leadership roles.
He has advised governments, major corporations and not-for-profit organisations on complex political, regulatory and stakeholder issues, supporting clients to navigate decision-making processes, strengthen engagement and achieve practical outcomes.
Anthony previously served as a senior adviser to former Australian Prime Minister The Hon. John Howard AC and as Chief of Staff to The Hon. Pru Goward AO, then New South Wales Minister for Family and Community Services and Minister for Women.
These roles gave him deep experience in public policy, Cabinet processes, ministerial decision-making and government engagement.
He has since held senior executive and advisory roles across the private and not-for-profit sectors, helping organisations develop advocacy strategies, manage stakeholder relationships and respond effectively to complex policy and regulatory environments.
As Chief Executive Officer, Anthony leads Cornerstone’s national operations and works closely with clients to deliver strategic advice, build trusted relationships across government and industry, and support outcomes in an increasingly complex political landscape.
